Today we’re launching Smart Signing Forms, the first official WPsigner addon — and the fastest way to collect legally binding signatures on your WordPress site without building a document first.
Until now, signing with WPsigner started with a PDF: you uploaded a document, placed fields, and sent it to signers. That workflow is perfect for contracts and formal agreements. But many of you asked for something simpler: “I just want a form that people fill out, sign, and I get a signed PDF.”
That’s exactly what Smart Signing Forms does.
What is Smart Signing Forms?
Smart Signing Forms is a drag-and-drop form builder built into WPsigner. Every submission automatically becomes a signed PDF with a full audit trail and Certificate of Completion — no template, no document wizard, no manual steps.
Use it for:
- NDAs and confidentiality agreements
- Client onboarding and intake forms
- Consent forms and waivers
- Authorization and approval forms
- Any workflow where a form submission should become a legally auditable signed document
Publish anywhere with a single shortcode:
[insigner_smart_form id="123"]
Built in 4 steps
The form editor walks you through a four-step wizard:
1. Configuration — Form title, PDF title, success message, and what happens after signing: email the PDF, show a download button, redirect, or display a verification link.
2. Form builder — Drag fields onto the canvas: text, email, phone, dropdowns, checkboxes, dates, file uploads, multi-column layouts, and conditional logic that shows or hides fields based on answers. Every form includes at least one signature field (draw, type, or upload).
3. Design — Four presets (Professional, Modern, Minimal, Editorial), plus full control over density, labels, field styles, buttons, and brand colors — with a live preview as you customize. No CSS required.
4. Compliance — Enable OTP identity verification, capture geolocation consent, add CC recipients, and apply trusted timestamps (TSA) from your WPsigner settings.
Collect payments before the signature
Smart Signing Forms includes a Stripe payment field. Add it to any form to charge a fixed amount — from $0.50 to $10,000 — before the signer submits.
The flow is seamless for the signer: fill the form, pay with Stripe’s Payment Element, sign, and submit. Payment is verified server-side before the signed PDF is generated, and each payment can only be used once. Test mode is clearly badged so you can experiment safely.
Perfect for paid consultations, deposits, registration fees, or any agreement that includes a payment.
Verify identity with OTP
Need stronger identity assurance? Enable one-time password verification and choose the channel:
- Email — works out of the box
- SMS — via your Twilio integration
- WhatsApp — via your WhatsApp Business integration
The signer must verify the code before the form can be submitted, and the verification is recorded in the audit trail.
Every submission, fully auditable
Each entry gives you:
- The submitted data and the signed PDF
- A complete audit trail in WPsigner
- An online verification link so anyone can confirm the document’s authenticity
- Optional email delivery to the signer and CC recipients
