Legality & Compliance

Are signatures created with WPsigner legally binding?
Yes. WPsigner complies with the US ESIGN Act (2000), UETA, and the European eIDAS regulation. Signatures collected include a complete audit trail (IP address, Timestamp, Email) and are cryptographically sealed to prevent tampering, making them admissible in court.
What is RFC 3161 Timestamping?
It's an advanced standard for Trusted Timestamping. We integrate with certified Time Stamping Authorities (TSA) to prove exactly when a document was signed, independent of your server's clock. This prevents backdating and ensures long-term validity.

Security & Privacy

Where is my data stored?
100% on your server. Unlike DocuSign or HelloSign, WPsigner creates PDFs locally using your WordPress database and file system. We have zero access to your documents or signatures.
How do you ensure document integrity?
Every finished document is hashed using SHA-256. This digital fingerprint is stored in the audit trail. Any modification to the PDF after signing will invalidate the digital signature, alerting you to tampering.

Pricing & Licensing

Is there a monthly fee per envelope?
No. You pay one annual fee for the plugin license. You can send unlimited documents and collect unlimited signatures without any extra cost.
What happens if I don't renew my license?
Your signed documents remain safe and valid forever. However, you will lose access to software updates, priority support, and the ability to create NEW signature requests until you renew.
